Himalaya Express Service (Formerly known as Indian Subcontinent Europe (ISE) Service )
The UK-C Cellular Container Service commenced in 1994 with SCI as a single operator operating three vessels with 1,800 TEU capacities, which was later upgraded to a fixed day weekly service operating with seven vessels of similar capacity. The service, from May 2009, was operated in consortia comprising of two partners viz. SCI and MSC, with currently nine vessels out of which one vessel contributed by SCI. The service is operated on round voyage duration of 63 days. HIMALAYA service caters to and from the Indian Sub-Continent, Mundra / JNPT / Colombo to UK / European base ports & multiple other ports including Scandinavia via the base ports.
Port Rotation : Colombo – NhavaSheva – Mundra – Felixstowe – Rotterdam – Hamburg – Antwerp – Rotterdam – Colombo
Inventory : All Types - 20'GP, 40'GP, 40'HC, 20'OT, 40'OT, 20'FR, 40'FR.
The IPAK service is a slot swap arrangement between SCI and its Himalaya Service partner with a round voyage of 56 days. SCI has weekly allocation on IPAK service for below port rotation.
Port rotation: Nhava Sheva - Hazira - Mundra - Gioia Tauro - Rotterdam - Antwerp – London Gateway - Le Havre - Nhava Sheva.
Inventory : All Types - 20'GP, 40'GP, 40'HC, 20'OT, 40'OT, 20'FR, 40'FR
SCI operates this service with a slot swap arrangement between SCI and MSC. SCI has been allotted slots by MSC, which operates IPAK service in exchange for similar slots allotted to MSC on the ISE-HEX Service.

India – Maldives Shipping Services: As envisioned by Hon’able Prime Minister of India and Hon’able of Maldives, SCI commenced a regular direct shipping service viz. India-Maldives Shipping Service (IMSS) w.e.f. 21.09.2020, between Cochin – Tuticorin – Male – Kulhuduffushi with inducement calls to Holumale and Thilaffushi.

Overview
The SCI is the only Indian shipping company providing overseas Liner Break-bulk services to the Indian trade.
The SCI is the only Indian shipping company providing overseas Liner Break-bulk services to the Indian trade. The SCI arranges carriage of Break-bulk cargoes on a space charter basis from various regions across the globe including USA and Far East. This is offered for imports and exports in & out of India, which include shipments of Over-Dimensional Cargoes (ODC)/ Project cargoes/Heavy Lift cargoes/IMO Class I Cargoes and containers.
The SCI has on its panel many reputed forwarders/ Shipping Lines having their own regular service in different sectors. This enables the SCI to cater to the needs of the customers to provide timely shipments and also shipments from every part of the world.
The SCI’s Breakbulk Department also makes arrangements for shipment of containerised cargo from those ports, where SCI does not have a regular container service. These arrangements are made on slot charter basis with other major container operators.
